Never take the audience for granted. Last post I put up a pic. It was supposed to be funny, IF people had gotten what was wrong with the pic, say, for example SPELLING MISTAKE. Nevertheless, I thought people will know the spelling mistake and I even wanted to make it easier, so I drew an arrow.
I had asked people to come up with a title, and knowing the readers I was sure they will come up with funny comments and witty titles. These were the responses.
“Our traditions and culture” one friend commented. First I thought he was looking at another post
. Then he continued to say “that will be the best title for this pic”. I was shocked at his “lateral” thinking and asked him how he would justify such a title. And he said “come on, look at the pic, cycles are parked at an auto stand. Its in our blood to disobey rules”.
I said “Dude, I was hoping that you would notice the wrong spelling”. Then I realized a joke that needs explanation is not a joke at all.
Another guy looks at the pic for a loooong time and says “why do you want a title for this one? what’s so special about it?”. I said “THE SPELLING, Rickshaw is wrongly spelt”. “oh, is it? I didn’t know the spelling of rickshaw” says it with a straight face and walks off.
Another one “Free kids from child labor, send them to school”. I was gonna say “Where the hell did that philosophy come from?” but was cut short when I saw that the pic did have a kid walking with a school bag!!
My BAD!! I agree…
So here I am posting again.
NOTE : The correct spelling is “Auto Rickshaw”
NOW TITLE IT!!
Cheers
